The islands
Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera in the Mediterranean belong to
our sailing areas. Not many islands of the Balearics are as rich in contrast
as Majorca - bustling fishing villages like Port Andraitx, Soller and Pollensa -
and a rough northwestern coast featuring a fascinating landscape with pine groves
and sheer rock slopes. There are good restaurants everywhere and also shopping
facilities. 45 seamiles southwest of Majorca lies Ibiza. This island posseses
exceptionally well equipped ports and marinas, and a number of idyllic bays and
magnificent sandy beaches. Do not miss a day spent skin or scuba diving in the
crystal clear waters of the Balearics.
And do not forget the night life on Ibiza, Ibiza city before all.
Only a few miles south of here you will find Formentera (
Balearic Islands ). Its' palm tree covered beaches and turquoise
water will make you feel like in the Caribbean. Great anchorages and a long drawn
sandy beach can be found in the northern part of the island on the headland of
Illetas.
