Take our quick search to find your yacht:
Southern France has more to offer than just the Cote d'Azur. West of Toulon, the old war
port, there are the long drawn sandy beaches of the Camargue, which are only limited by the
Pyrenees, the mounain range separating France and Spain.
In this region, west of the islands of Hyères the rule of the Mistral begins. By the way,
Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Levant are among the most beatiful sailing areas of the estuary
France. This cool wind, which will often suddenly blow from the Rhone valley, can sometimes
during summer grow to a gale and coat the Gulf de Lion with white waves, which will sometimes
even reach the 100 seamiles distant Corsica.
While the port and bay-rich Cote d'Azur in France is ideal for the family crew or the less
experienced among us, the more experienced crews should rather spent their time in the western
part of southern France.
Large Ports: Antibes, Bastia, Bormes les Mimosas
