In Dubrovnik in Croatia there are yahcts available for charter for exploraton of
the southern part of Croatia.
This destination is mostly rated lightwind, mostly dominated by the Maestrale coming
from the Northwest. But beware of the Bora. The sudden downwash in gale-force-scale has
eaten quite a number of sails already. Fortunately the weather forecasts are very good
and available on channel 69 or 73 in English, Italian and German. Unfortunately in some
bays - especially the Cornates - ther will be no welcome - therefore we recommend a
contract with a local weather service, offering information via SMS in Croatia.
By the way: In the pre and after seasons Croatia is a well liked sailing area because
of it's mild temperatures.
